Green Australian Sencha Sample Sachet
Plain sencha, grown in Victoria and processed the Japanese way, steamed then rolled then dried. Nothing blended into it. It is the baseline green tea in the range and everything else green is measured against it.
Take this sachet if you want to know what the leaf itself tastes like before you buy anything flavoured. Four serves is enough to brew it properly two or three times and get a reference point in your head, which makes every other green tea decision easier afterwards.
Off the boil, cooled to around 80 degrees, one to two minutes. That is a genuinely short steep and it is deliberate. Sencha rewards a hot quick infusion and punishes a long one, and the same leaf will give you a second cup if you go again straight away.
$3.50 against $16.00 for 100g. Sencha in full size is here. The green tea collection is where to go next once you know what you are comparing to.
