Easy Iced Tea - Hot Infusion Method

Follow these simple steps for the best tea experience
1

Fill the jug

As per the "cold Infusion method", but add boiling water instead of room temperature water.

2

4x heaped tablespoons

4 x heaped tablespoons of tea into a 1-litre jug
Use herbals, black or green tea

Recommended tea:

Calypso, Moroccan Mint, Cape to Cairo, Sharian Sunset, Tea Garden

3

Infuse + Strain

Allow the tea to infuse in the water for 4-5 minutes, with potentially longer for herbal teas, up to taste.

Strain off the tea leaves and allow to cool.

4

Add extras

Add plenty of ice and garnish with fruit and mint.

TIPS

When making Iced Tea, add more tea than you
would usually. Make a nice, strong brew. You
will be diluting it with ice.
Keeps in the fridge 1-2 days without fruit

Slow infusion method allows flavours to develop
slowly without any bitterness sometimes
associated with green or black tea.
Less caffeine is released during a cold infusion.
