Haven is organic Assam blended with first flush Darjeeling and flecked with organic calendula petals. Assam brings the malt and the body, Darjeeling brings the lighter floral top, and the result is medium bodied and golden rather than dark.
This suits someone who finds straight Assam too heavy and straight Darjeeling too thin. It sits deliberately between them. Four serves is enough to drink it at breakfast twice and mid afternoon twice, which is where the difference between those two teas actually shows up.
One teaspoon in freshly boiled water for three to four minutes, and drink it on its own. Milk buries the Darjeeling side of it entirely, which rather defeats the purpose of the blend.
