Daintree is a single origin Australian black tea, grown in the wet tropics of North Queensland and sold unblended. No other leaf, nothing added. It is lighter in caffeine than most black teas and has a soft, rounded character rather than a brisk one.
The reason to take four serves first is that single origin teas are a matter of taste in a way blends are not. There is nothing else in the cup to carry it. If you like a strong builder's brew you may find this too gentle, and it is better to learn that over four cups than over a pouch.
One teaspoon, freshly boiled water, two to three minutes only. It is a shorter steep than most black teas and going past three minutes flattens it. Milk is optional and it genuinely does not need sugar.
